Most Street Lights in the town of Washington are operated by Ameren. If you notice an issue with a street light, you can call Ameren directly at 1-800-552-7583. Operating hours are Monday through Friday from 7am to 7 pm, excluding holidays. Ameren will ask for the following information in order to address the issue:

• Pole number - starts with "W" on an aluminum tag or on yellow stickers

• Address of street light location or nearest intersection

• Name and phone number of contact if Ameren has any questions

Although Ameren owns and operates most of the lights in the City of Washington, there are also City owned and maintained lights found at the following locations:

• Front Street, decorative street light

• Main Street, decorative street light

• Jefferson, decorative street light

• Phoenix Center Development, decorative street light

• Riverfront east parking lot, decorative street light

• Fairgrounds and Parks street lights
