To help with efficiency of waste collection, Windy Hills Subdivision and properties along West Fifth Street near Highway 100, waste and recycling collection will change from Friday to Thursday. This will be a permanent change starting Thursday, October 31. The contractor will continue for two weeks to check on Fridays after the start of this change. After that, waste will only be collected on Thursdays if placed at the curb on time.

Dog bite reported in the 100 block of Lexington Lane. Owner of the dog was issued a summons.

The Washington Coffee Shop will be the closing lanes on Jefferson and East 5th Street on Friday, October 18, for additional building repairs. Eastbound lane in front of the coffee shop will be closed, and the right turn lane for northbound Jefferson Street will be closed; however, northbound thru traffic will still be allowed. The left turn lane for southbound Jefferson Street will also be closed. Closure is from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday. Please use alternate routes and follow detour signs.

Leaving the scene of a crash reported in the 700 block of High Street. White SUV struck a parked vehicle and continued North on High Street.
Waste Connections had a truck breakdown and will not finish Monday routes tonight. The areas listed below on the Monday route will be the first priority for tomorrow morning. Please leave trash cans out for Tuesday collection.
