Responded to the 900 block of E. 5th St. for an out-of-control subject.

A verbal domestic was reported in the 1500 block of High St.

Animal complaint in the 2600 block of E. 5th St.

A peace disturbance was reported in the 1300 block of W. 5th St.

Assisted Pacific PD with an investigation in the 400 block of Oak St.

Saturday Morning the library hosted a Plein Air painting/sketching session down on the riverfront. We had a great time hanging out and met a lot of people who stopped by to see what we were doing. A suspicious person was checked on in the area of Highway 47 and Heritage Hills Drive. A vehicle crash was reported on International Avenue at Highway 100. Officers handled a wildlife call in the 2200 block of Captains Drive. Officer checked the wellbeing of a subject in the 200 block of Carriage Court. Hazards were removed from the roadway on Highway 100 near West 5th Street. Drug activity was reported near the area of 6th Street and Roosevelt Street. Officers assisted another agency in the 500 block of West 5th Street. A subject was taken into custody during a traffic stop. A vehicle crash was reported on Phoenix Center Drive at the intersection of Vernaci Drive. Officers handled a report of a driving hazard on Lexington Lane.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY – WASHINGTON HIGH SCHOOL HOMECOMING PARADE & FOOTBALL GAME
Friday, October 10, 2025

The Washington High School Homecoming Parade will take place at 4:30 p.m. The parade route is as follows:

➡️ North on Stafford Street from the Four Rivers Career Center (Image Drive)
➡️ East on West 8th Street
➡️ South on Sunnyside Street to the Washington High School

Please use caution when traveling in the area and watch for increased pedestrian traffic. Motorists can expect temporary travel restrictions along the route shortly before 4:30 p.m.

Following the parade, the Homecoming football game will kick off at 7:00 p.m. at Washington High School. Expect congestion and increased pedestrian traffic along Blue Jay Drive and Sunnyside Street. Please be mindful of where and how you park when attending the game. Parking along Highway 47 near the high school is strictly prohibited and doing so is a violation of city code.

Honored this year were Maurice Hillermann, Lisa Horn and Isaac Lashley.
If you haven't visited the memorial, please stop by sometime when you are in the area. The memorial is located just north of Hwy 70 at the Kingdom City exit. The Washington Volunteer Fire Company has a memorial wall on the property.
