Night Shift Summary. 07/28/2025 Found property was turned in and returned to the owner in the 1600 block of Heritage Hills Drive. Trespassing was reported in the 900 block of East 5th Street. Officers responded to an alarm sounding near Highway 100 and A Roy Drive. A subject was taken into custody during a traffic stop for driving without a valid license. A crash was reported near the intersection of East 5th Street and Hooker Street. Officers assisted another agency in the 900 block of East 5th Street. A suspicious vehicle was checked on in the 1900 block of West Main Street.

Found property in the 200 block of West Front Street. Owner was contacted and the property was returned.

Subject was contacted in the 100 block of East 4th Street. Subject was in a obvious state of emotional crisis. Subject was voluntarily transported to an appropriate facility.

Subject was contacted after being called in as a suspicious person in the 900 block of Bieker Road. Subject was found to have an outstanding warrant and was arrested.

Peace disturbance on Fieldstone Court. Subjects were asked to turn music down.

Report of a disturbance on Southwinds Circle. Subject who was causing the disturbance left.

Night Shift Summary 07/25/2025

Subjects were contacted after someone called and saw them arguing in the area of Highway 47 and East 14th Street. One of the subjects was found to have outstanding warrants. When that subject was placed in custody, suspected methamphetamine was located. The subject was arrested.

A dog was located in the 1300 block of West Main Street. Owners were located and the dog was returned.

Peace disturbance in the 500 block of West Front Street. Subjects causing the disturbance left.

Parking violation in the 600 block of West 5th Street. Someone parked in their driveway. The owner was located and the vehicle was moved.

Subject was stopped in the 200 block of East 5th Street for a traffic violation. Subject was found to be intoxicated and was arrested.

From St. Louis to Cooperstown Tuesday July 29 6:30 p.m.
Road closure at 12th Street and Jefferson Street as well as 13th Street and Jefferson Street starting Monday July 28th.
Work anticipated to be completed and roadways opened back up the week of August 4th. There will be no impact to thru traffic on Jefferson. The closure will restrict access to 12th Street and 13th Street from Jefferson Street.

Please refer to the attached detour route map. Local Traffic only on 12th and 13th Streets. Please utilize alternate routes if possible and do not use business parking lots as a cut through.

Thank you for your patience as we complete this project and improve Jefferson Street. Please follow posted detour signs.

A motor vehicle crash was investigated in the area of Hwy 100 and High St.

A verbal domestic disturbance was reported in the area of Highway 47 and Bieker Rd.

A check the well being was conducted on Hwy 100 between A Roy Dr. and International Ave.

Officers responded to an alarm sounding in the 5800 block of Highway 100.

A subject was arrested during a traffic stop for operating a motor vehicle with a revoked driver license and other traffic charges. This occurred in the area of Freemont St. and Dubois.

Officers responded to an alarm sounding in the 200 block of E. 8th St.

All subjects arrested are innocent until proven guilty.

This Friday, July 25 at 6:00 p.m., in the Library Parking Lot. Get doused with color as you make your way around the library. Wear white for full impact. The messy mood continues in our closed off parking lot. Ooey gooey fun with shaving cream, playdough, and other messy makers. The Fire Department will help with cleanup! (Hint: stay back or you might get wet.) All Ages (Due to this program's messy nature, the library building will be closed, except for the bathrooms.)

Checked on solicitors in the area of Rabbit Trail Drive and Lexington Lane. They were advised to stop soliciting until they contacted city hall for a permit.

Intoxicated subject was lying in the roadway on Huxel Drive near Highway 100. Contacted a friend who took custody of the subject.

Suspicious vehicle was called in on Kingsland Drive. Subject was just watching the train go by.

Subject was stopped in the 2000 block of East 5th for a traffic violation. Subject was found to have a suspended driving privilege. Subject was arrested.

Several homeless subjects were contacted in the 800 block of East 5th Street and advised to move along.
