Officers assisted a stranded motorist in the area of HWY 100 and Vernaci Drive.
An assault report was taken in the 500 block of Horn Street.
A vehicle crash occurred on the parking lot of the Washington High School.
Report of a C&I driver in the are of E 3rd Street and Washington Avenue.




Friday, October 10, 2025
The Washington High School Homecoming Parade will take place at 4:30 p.m. The parade route is as follows:
➡️ North on Stafford Street from the Four Rivers Career Center (Image Drive)
➡️ East on West 8th Street
➡️ South on Sunnyside Street to the Washington High School
Please use caution when traveling in the area and watch for increased pedestrian traffic. Motorists can expect temporary travel restrictions along the route shortly before 4:30 p.m.
Following the parade, the Homecoming football game will kick off at 7:00 p.m. at Washington High School. Expect congestion and increased pedestrian traffic along Blue Jay Drive and Sunnyside Street. Please be mindful of where and how you park when attending the game. Parking along Highway 47 near the high school is strictly prohibited and doing so is a violation of city code.

On October 26, 2025, the Washington Police Department will be hosting their annual First Responder Trunk or Treat from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
We have several agencies and first responder–related organizations who will be in attendance, and we’re hoping that a few more will join us! A private property motor vehicle crash occurred in the 1900 block of Rabbit Trail Dr.
A parking complaint was made in the 1300 block of W. 5th St.
Suspicious Activity was reported in the 1900 block of Rabbit Trail Dr.
Assited EMS in the area of Main St. and Elm St.
Officers responded to an alarm sounding in the 2500 block of Slater Dr.
Stealing was reported in the area of Whispering Oaks Dr.
Assisted EMS in the 1600 block of High St.

Assisted DFS with an ongoing investigation.
Report of animal running at large in the 200 block of High Street.
Checked on a female subject in the area of Southwinds. She was fine.
Male subject was arrested on an outstanding warrant in the area of Fremont Street.
Meet with several subjects who were harassing each other over the phone.

Officers responded to the 500 block of E. 14th St. for a report of a suspicious vehicle.
Officers responded to the 300 block of Stafford St. for a juvenile issue.
Assisted EMS in the 600 block of Blue Jay Dr.
Officers responded to the 1900 block of Washington crossing for a report of an assault.
Officers responded to the police department for a report of a violation of a full order of protection.
An informational report was taken in the 600 block of Blue Jay Dr.
Officers responded to several different locations assisting another agency.
Officers handled a motor vehicle accident in the 600 block of Blue Jay Dr.
Officers responded to the 300 block of M.E. Frick Dr. in reference to possible narcotics being located. A subject was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
A fraud report was taken in the 600 block of Market St.
A stealing report was taken in the 800 block of Washington Corners.
Officers responded to the 1200 block of Karen Ln. for a report of a peace disturbance.
All subjects arrested are innocent until proven guilty.

Homeless activity near the 400 block of Jefferson.
Minor traffic crash near Washington Crossing.
Suspicious vehicle checked on in the area of North Park and Tiemann.
Minor traffic crash in the area of Highway 100 and West Pride Dr.

Delayed crash report that occured on 09/10/2025.
Assisted EMS in the 1000 block of Madison Avenue. Subject was left in care of EMS.
Non-injury private property crash in the 6000 block of Highway 100.
Assisted a motorist on Highway 47 at Highway 100.
Subject was stopped on Jefferson Street near 14th Street. Subject was found to be driving on a suspended driving privilege and was arrested.
Alarm in the 5000 block of Highway 100. Accidental.

Dog was found in the area of 14th Street and Jefferson Street. Owner was located and they picked up the dog.
Assault was reported in the 500 block of West 5th Street.
Property damage was reported in the 500 block of West Front Street.
Non-injury vehicle crash on Highway 100 at Washington Heights Drive.
Stealing was reported on Fairgrounds Drive.
Minor injury vehicle crash was reported on East 5th Street at Burnside Street.
Minor injury vehicle crash on Highway 100 at A. Roy Drive.

Subject was stopped for a traffic violation. The subject was found to have an outstanding warrant and was arrested.

The Washington High School Band Boosters will host their annual Band Festival on Saturday, October 4th at WHS. Drivers are urged to be patient, use caution, and park responsibly in the areas surrounding the festival. Thank you for helping us keep this community event safe and enjoyable!
Entry & Shuttles
All visitors must enter at East 14th & Blue Jay on foot or by shuttle. Vendors, handicapped parking access, and volunteer pick-up must also use this entrance. Due to Blue Jay Drive being set up as a one-way street during the festival, traffic will not be allowed to enter via Hwy 47. Handicap parking access requires a valid handicapped plate/placard. Volunteer pick-up requires a booster-supplied pass at pre-set times. All traffic must exit the festival grounds via Hwy 47.

🚫 No stopping, drop-offs, or pick-ups on Hwy 47🚫

Festival Area Restrictions
All vehicles in the Washington High & Middle School lots must be removed by 11 PM Friday, Oct. 3.
All vehicles on Blue Jay between Hwy 47 and East 14th must be removed by 6 AM Saturday, Oct. 4.
Road closures Saturday, Oct. 4 (6 AM–11:59 PM):
Blue Jay Between Hwy 47 and East 14th
Shuttle busses only on Sunnyside between Blue Jay and East 11th
Hwy 47 access to Blue Jay closed – traffic may only exit from Blue Jay onto Hwy 47

Assisted WAAD with an injury in the area of Phoenix Park.
An assault was reported in the 1100 block of West 5th Street.
A suspicious person was reported in the 900 block of East 8th. He was located and no concerns.
Found property in the area of Burger Park.
Report of trespassing in the 700 block of Industrial Ave.

Property damage was reported in the 2000 block of East 9th Street. A fight was reported in the 800 block of East 5th Street. Stealing was reported in the 1500 block of Heritage Hills Drive. Parking violation reported in the 1900 block of Bedford Center. Officers and other city agencies assisted Honor Flight in honoring a Vietnam Veteran in the area of the riverfront. Officers assisted another agency in the area of Highway 47 and Blue Jay Drive. Officers checked on an animal in the 700 block of Jefferson Street. Assisted another agency in the 1300 block of West 7th Street. A vehicle crash was reported in the area of Highway 47 and Washington Square. Found property was turned in and later returned to the owner. Assisted another agency in the area of Highway 100 and Brookview Drive. Officers checked on an animal in the 1700 block of Aroy Drive. An informational report was taken in the area of East 14th Street. An assault was reported in the 300 block of Jefferson Street. Officers assisted a motorist in the area of Highway 47 and East 5th Street.
