Night Shift Summary. 07/04/2025 A peace disturbance was reported in the 100 block of Penn Street. Property damage was reported in the 700 block of Washington Square. A careless driver was reported in the 800 block of West Pride Drive. An alarm was sounding in the 2000 block of Washington Crossing. A suspicious person was reported in the 900 block of East 5th Street. A peace disturbance was reported in the 2300 block of Crewe Court. A subject was taken into custody for warrants in the area of 5th Street and Stafford Street. Officers responded to ten complaints of fireworks throughout the city.

Fireworks violation on Lange Drive. Subject was issued a citation. Found property turned in that was located in the 100 block of East 5th Street. Owner was contacted and items were returned. Assisted a motorist in the 500 block of East 5th Street. Abandoned vehicle reported on Sir Williams Court. Vehicle was tagged for removal. Assisted EMS in the 1200 block of West 8th Street. Patient was left in care of EMS. Non-injury traffic crash on Highway 100 at A. Roy Drive. Assisted EMS with an injury on Aquatic Circle Drive. Patient left in care of EMS. Property damage reported in the 500 block of Alberta Drive.

Night Shift Summary. 06/30/2025 Two subjects were taken into custody for stealing and drugs in the 1700 block of A Roy Drive. A suspicious person was checked on in the 400 block of East 5th Street. Alarm sounding in the 2000 block of Washington Crossing. A suspicious person was checked on in the 1600 block of Madison Avenue. Officers checked the wellbeing of a subject in the 300 block of Madelyn Court. A subject was taken into protective custody in the 1000 block of East 5th Street. An assault was reported in the 700 block of East 5th Street. Officers assisted another agency in the 800 block of Macarthur Street. A suspicious person was checked on in the 600 block of East 8th Street. A crash was reported at the intersection of Highway 100 and Jefferson Street. Officers checked the wellbeing of a subject near the intersection of Jefferson and 8th Street. A homeless subject was removed from private property. Officers assisted EMS at the river front with an injured subject.

Day Shift Summary. 06-30-2025 Traffic crash in the area of Highway 47 and East 5th Street. Traffic crash in the area of Highway 100 and Clay Street. Report of property damage in the area of South Point Road.

The intersection of Jefferson Street and 8th Street will be closed starting Tuesday, July 8th. This closure will last 3-4 weeks depending on weather. This closure is due to work to remove the existing asphalt pavement and replace with new concrete pavement.

Please refer to the attached detour route map. Please utilize alternate routes if possible and do not use business parking lots as a cut through.

Streets will be closed blocks before the intersection for local traffic only. Access to all residence and businesses will remain open but there will be no traffic permitted through the intersection.

Thank you for your patience as we complete this project and improve Jefferson Street. Please follow posted detour signs.

Waste Connections was unable to complete its route today, Monday June 30th. The highlighted areas in the included map will be collected on Tuesday, July 1st.

The Street Department will have Front Street closed from Market and Lafayette Streets for street repairs from 4 a.m. to 3 p.m. Detour signs will be in place.
