What is a bioswale? It is a landscaped depression that is designed to collect and treat stormwater from impervious surfaces before the stormwater moves into a storm drain and into a waterway such as a local creek or river. Next time you visit the Rennick Riverfront Park, come check out our sign for our new bioswale.

Memorial Day Weekend Safety Reminder
As we honor the brave members of the United States Armed Forces who made the ultimate sacrifice, let’s also take steps to keep each other safe this holiday weekend.
🚗 Buckle up – Seat belts save lives.
📵 Put the phone down – Avoid distractions and stay focused.
🍻 Don’t drink and drive – Always choose a sober driver.
🚤 Be safe on the water – Wear a life jacket and never boat under the influence.
⚠️ With an estimated 4% increase in drivers on the road, totaling nearly 40 million motorists, expect heavier traffic and plan accordingly. If plan on spending time on the water, you can also expect an increase in waterway traffic as well.
The National Safety Council estimates 443 traffic fatalities nationwide this holiday weekend — let’s do our part to prevent them.
❤️ Keep safety first, act responsibly, and remember the sacrifices of our heroes.
