Night Shift Summary 05/03/2025
Assisted WFD in the 1900 block of Highway A.
Subject was contacted in the 600 block of East 7th Street. Subject was found to have outstanding warrants and was arrested.
A fight was reported in the 2000 block of East 9th Street. It was just kids play fighting.
Subjects were causing a disturbance in the 4700 block of South Point Road. They were asked to leave.
Assisted EMS in the 200 block of Wenona Drive.
Subject was stopped in the 500 block of East 5th Street for a traffic violation. Subject was found to be intoxicated and was arrested.
Two subjects were arguing in the 1100 block of East 3rd Street. The subjects were separated and one left for the evening.
Alarm in the 100 block of Monticello Drive. Accidental.

Homeless subject was trespassed from a residence in the 400 block of East 5th Street.
Subjects causing a disturbance in the 2000 block of Ashton Hills Court.
Alarm in the 800 block of Franklin Avenue. Accidental.

Two Washington Police Officers, along with other local law enforcement officers, were recognized at the annual Franklin County Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) First Responder Appreciation Banquet on April 23, 2025. Officer Schmelz (pictured), and Officer Marquart (not pictured) were honored with awards for their outstanding service in response to behavioral health crisis incidents in 2024. Their dedication to helping those in a crisis response are truly impeccable. We are fortunate to have these officers on our team.
