Vehicle had been parked on A. Roy Drive for some time and was reported as derelict. It was found to have been reported as stolen out of Oklahoma.
Peace disturbance in the 1400 block of East 5th Street. Two male subjects arguing. They were advised to leave each other alone.
Non-injury traffic crash on East 6th Street at Washington Avenue. One of the drivers was found to be intoxicated and was arrested.
Subject was stopped for a traffic violation in the area of East 5th Street and Westway. The driver was found to have outstanding warrants and was arrested.

A motor vehicle accident was investigated in the area of Hwy 47 and Duncan Ave.
A peace disturbance was reported in the 400 block of Jefferson St.

Harassment was reported in the 400 block of W. Front St.
An animal bite was reported in the 300 block of State St.
A dog running at large in the 500 block of E. 8th St. was taken to the police department and later released to it's owner.
A harassment report was taken in the 900 block of Patients first Dr.
A motor vehicle accident was investigated in the area of E. 5th and Madison Ave.
Officers assisted EMS in the area of Village West.
A subject with outstanding warrants came to the police department and turned himself in.
A peace disturbance was reported in the area of Southwinds.
A check the well being was conducted in the area of the 1500 block of E. 6th St.
A harassment report was taken in the 900 block of E. 5th St.

On Wednesday, October 9, there will be an early trash collection due to the Third Street Paving Project. This is for residents who live between Jefferson Street and Highway 47 and north of 5th Street. Please have cans and bags out the night before or by 5 a.m. on Wednesday morning. Thank you.

Several members of the Washington Volunteer Fire Company had the honor of attending ceremonies this weekend at the Firefighter Memorial in Kingdom City. This year included three Line of Duty deaths in Missouri in 2023: Firefighter Tad Russell, Brumley FPD, Firefighter Lloyd Ruediger, New Haven-Berger Fire; and Captain Raymond Wynn, Kansas City Fire. The WVFC added four names from 2023 to our Memorial Wall: Rick Frankenberg, Terry Sullentrup, Charles "Mike" Carman, and Don Willming. (Maurice Hillerman will be honored at next year's ceremony).
