Night Shift Summary 04/23/2025 Subject reported property damage in the 900 block of Bieker Road. It was silly string and washed off. Checked on a subject that had their head down on the picnic table at Krog Park. They were fine. Alarm on A. Roy Drive. Accidental. Hazards removed from the roadway in the 200 block of High Street. Subject was reportedly dumpster diving and making a mess in the 200 block of West 5th Street. Subject was found to have an outstanding warrant and was arrested. The mess was cleaned up.

Night Shift Summary. 04/22/25 Officers responded to the area of Washington Corners for a report of a suspicious person. Officers responded to the area of the bridge for a report of an argument between two female subjects. A subject was arrested on an outstanding warrant during a traffic stop. All subjects arrested are innocent until proven guilty.

Assist another law enforcement agency in the 300 block of High Street. Peace disturbance report in the area of 8th/Franklin. Informational report in the 800 Block of Washington Square. Officers worked a home death. Peace disturbance in the 300 Block of Williams Street.

Now that Washington has a Dunkin' Donuts we are going to participate in this fundraiser for Special Olympics to go along with Sgt. Kapustka's t-shirt sales to raise money for this great cause. On May 16th come out and see him on top of the roof of the business collecting donations for Special Olympics. Even if it is just to make fun of him for being up there, come out and donate!

Night Shift Summary. 04/21/25. An officer returned a phone call to a subject who had questions concerning a violation of a court order. An assault was reported in the area of E. 11th and Sunnyside. Officers responded to the 200 block of Elm St. for a report of an alarm sounding. Officers responded to the riverfront parking lot for reports of careless driving. Suspicious activity was reported in the area of Carmel Ln. A subject was arrested in the area of E. 8th and Burnside for an outstanding warrant during a traffic stop. Suspicious activity was reported in the area of W. 2nd and Jefferson. Officers assisted a subject having a medical issue in the area of E. 8th and Madison. Suspicious activity was reported in the area of Washington Heights and Hwy 100. All subjects arrested are innocent until proven guilty.

A suspicious person was checked on in the 300 block of Burnside Street. A subject was arrested for DWI during a traffic stop in the 1400 block of East 5th Street. Officers assisted another agency with an uncooperative subject in the 900 block of East 5th Street.

Assisted St. Clair PD with an investigation in the 2000 block of E. 5th St. Found property was located in the 800 block of Jefferson St. Stealing was reported in the 500 block of E. 5th St. A suspicious person was reported in the 1200 block of E. 8th St. Stealing was reported in the area of Washington Corners. Check the well being conducted in the 700 block of Locust St. A suspicious vehicle was reported in the area of Dubois Ct.

The library is now a pickup location for Medication Safety Kits. Secure medications you store at home (especially opioid painkillers) in a locked container if possible. These kits are free - ask for a kit at the front desk. Kits are provided by Hope for Franklin County Coalition.
