This weekend we had an opportunity to practice high-angle rescue, replicating a scenario of a vehicle that has ended up off the side of a bridge or elevated roadway. We offer our sincere thanks to Patriot Towing for being a valued training partner.

Officers responded to an address on Busch Ave and assisted the fire department.
Officers responded to the downtown area for parking violations.
Officers responded to Hwy 47 and Heritage Hills for a injury motor vehicle accident.
Officer responded to the Washington Corners shopping center for a private property accident.
Officers responded to Hwy 100 and Hwy A for a report of a motor vehicle accident. One driver was arrested for outstanding warrants and driving a motor vehicle with a suspended driver license.
All subjects are innocent until proven guilty.

Homeless activity near Washington Square. Subject was camping in the area on private property. Subject was asked to leave and given a trespass warning.
Assisted a motorist in the area of Highway 100 and Washington Crossing.
Barking dog in the 200 block of East 4th Street. Homeowner was contacted and brought the dog inside.

Night Shift Summary 09/21/2024
Peace disturbance in Washington Square. Male subject was causing a disturbance at the business. He left prior to our arrival, but at the request of management he was located and issued a trespass warning for the business.
Non-injury traffic crash on Highway 100 at Washington Crossing.
Property damage was reported in the 5000 block of Highway 100. Subject who caused the damage was identified and located.
Subject was stopped on West 3rd Street near Cedar Street for a traffic violation. Subject was found to be intoxicated and was arrested.
Alarm in the 1900 block of East 5th Street. Accidental by employee.

🚧 REMINDER 🚧 The Wastewater Department will be repairing a major part of the sewer main on Front Street starting Monday, September 23, and continuing until Wednesday, September 25. During this time, Front Street will be closed to all traffic in between Lafayette Street and Elm Street. Also, the entrance to the River Front Park will be restricted to one lane. Please refer to the road closure map. As always, we apologize for any inconveniences this may cause.


🌧️🚧 UPDATE 🚧🌧️ Due to today's rain, this work has been pushed back until Tuesday September 24th. The Washington Coffee Shop will be the closing lanes at Jefferson and East 5th Street on Tuesday, September 24 for building repairs. Eastbound lane in front of the coffee shop will be closed, the right turn lane for northbound Jefferson Street will be closed; however, northbound thru traffic will still be allowed. The left turn lane for southbound Jefferson Street will also be closed. Closure is from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday. Please use alternate routes and follow detour signs.
