A subject was arrested on outstanding warrants during a traffic stop in the 900 block of International Ave. Officers handled a homeless activity in the 900 block of International Ave. A check the well being was conducted near Hwy 47 and E. 1st. St. A subject was arrested as part of an investigation in the area of Hwy 100 and Huxel Dr. A trespassing was reported in the 900 block of E. 5th St. All subjects are innocent until proven guilty.

Night Shift Summary 08/29/2024 Homeless activity at East 5th and Macarthur Street. Female with a cart full of items was walking in the street. She did not want help and was asked to remain on the sidewalk. Assisted EMS with a full arrest in the 400 block of East 8th Street. Suspicious vehicle was checked on in the area of Lakeview football field. Subjects were advised of park hours and asked to leave. Checked the area for a report of someone screaming in the area by the park. It was determined it was some wildlife making the very loud screaming noise. Homeless activity on Highway 100 near Bluff Road. Female subject again. She again refused any help.

Request for Proposal The City of Washington, MO (City) is seeking proposals from qualified companies to perform collection processing, hauling and disposal of residential solid waste, recyclables, and bulky items. As well as optional alternate proposals for design, construction, and operations of a new transfer station. The operation of the Transfer Station includes the loading and processing of all waste received, as well as transportation and disposal of all solid waste. Any contractor that wishes to provide such a proposal for services shall submit said proposal utilizing the following information and instructions. Sealed proposals will be accepted until September 27, 2024 at 10 am and shall be hand delivered to Sherri Klekamp, City Clerk, at: City Hall, 3rd Floor 405 Jefferson Street Washington, MO 63090 Sealed envelopes shall be clearly labeled “2024 Residential Solid Waste, Recyclables, Bulky Collection Hauling and Disposal”. Two copies of the proposal shall be included within the sealed envelope. Proposals by mail or fax will not be accepted. Unsigned proposals will not be accepted. Proposals arriving after the above specified time will not be accepted. Each proposal will be opened and publicly read beginning at 10 am on September 27, 2024 in the office of the City Clerk.
