Thank you to our fabulous families for joining us on a beautiful morning at the Riverfront Park. Serengeti Steve entertained while he educated about snakes, alligators, spiders, scorpions, and other reptiles. (He may have picked on a Mom or two in the process.) We had a great time and hope you did too!

Today in #ParksandRecMonth we are focusing on the inclusivity within our parks system. One of our most popular accomplishments was the installation of the All Abilities Playground located in Hillermann Park. The playground opened in 2012 and has been our most popular playground ever since. It is designed to allow any cognitive or physical ability be able to use and enjoy the playground. Giving everyone the opportunity to play and enjoy the park is just one of the ways Washington Parks and Recreation is #WhereYouBelong. #ParksandRecMonth 24

We pray for his family and will miss him. He was a friend and training partner with many WFD members and a skilled firefighter.
