Thank you to the nice person who dropped off snacks at HQ!

Today is the last day of #ParksandRecMonth24 and we wanted to give another Thank You to all the workers, volunteers, boards, and commissions that make our Parks and Recreation Department run smoothly. Over time sediment can fill up a storm sewer drain and keep water from flowing through the system. If your drain is filled with dirt, call the Public Works Department (636-390-1030) to schedule a time for them to come out and vacuum out the debris. Keeping water flowing helps keep water off the street and out of your basement.

Tuesday July 30, 6:30 p.m. For many, the fight against long COVID or vaccine injury is like a never-ending battle. Chronic fatigue, breathing difficulty, and a host of neurological symptoms cause major life disruption and discomfort. Many people spiral into depression, anxiety, and an overwhelming feeling of hopelessness because of the medical community’s silence on treatments. Hope has been hard to find. Tim Husereau, CEO of Fish Out of Water, a Covid long hauler himself, spent over six figures of his own money trying to find the right treatments for his own health journey.

This afternoon is the start to prolonged dangerous heat in our area. We are in a heat advisory starting today at 1:00 p.m. and lasting until Thursday, August 1, 7:00 p.m. Below you will see the website with all cooling centers for the state. Please remember to check with each site for any further rules and regulations that are in place.
