There are a couple possibilities for Winter weather during the week. The first one, and this looks right now to be the less serious of the two, is calling for some light snow Thursday afternoon and into Thursday evening. The second, and more than likely the more serious, is on track for late this weekend - probably Sunday. Confidence is high regarding the possibility of some type of precipitation, but low (right now) regarding just what that will be. It could be snow, or sleet, or freezing rain, or some combination thereof. It is also predicted to have a period of intense cold starting Friday night with temps dropping into the teens and possibly single digits by Monday night. This is the time to start preparing for winter weather and bitter cold temperatures. Please follow for more updates as we get closer to the weekend. City of Washington Emergency Management Agency
