When it rains, pet waste left on lawns, trails, and sidewalks can be washed into a storm drain. Pet waste contains pathogens that end up in our lakes, streams, and the ocean where it decomposes which leads to eutrophication and ultimately the death of our aquatic plants and animals. Do your part and pick up the poo. https://cfpub.epa.gov/npstbx/files/pet%20care%20fact%20sheet.pdf #avoidpoo-llution #scoopthepoop #SWPPP #washmo #waterwisewednesday
