Day Shift Summary
Keeping rainwater away from your foundation is important to protect your house from damage. However, diverting rainwater directly to a water source will have a negative impact on water quality. Using a downspout diverter or extension can send the excess water to a rain barrel, a rain garden, or an open area in your yard. Increasing the percolation of water can help filter pollutants from rooftops and other hard surfaces and will give our creeks and rivers a cleaner source of water. #SWPPP #washmo #waterwisewednesday #preferpercolation
