Shift Summary Nights 2-2-2025 A larceny report was taken in the 1700 Block of A Roy Drive. Assist WFD in the 200 Block of State Street. Suspicious person in the 2000 Block of Eckelkamp Court. Check the well-being in the 500 Block of W. Front.

Officers responded to the area of Bernard and W. Main for a report of illegal dumping. A check the well being was conducted in the 400 block of W. 5th St. Officers responded to the area of the 1000 block of W. 5th for a report of a dog running at large. A traffic complaint was reported in the area of E. 5th and Willows Ct. A check the well being was conducted in the 3100 block of Phoenix Center.

Shift Summary Nights 2-1-2025 A male subject was arrested for domestic assault and resisting arrest in the 400 Block of Fremont Street. Assist Union PD with an investigation in the 900 Block of E. 5th. A report was taken for careless and reckless driving in the area of Highway 47 and Norwoood. A violation of Court order report was taken in the 2200 Block of Windcrest Court Harassment report in the 1900 Block of E. 5th. Keep the peace in the area of Southwinds Circle. Suspicious vehicle in the 4700 Block of Southpoint Road. Peace Disturbance in the 1400 Block of E. 5th. An assault report was taken at the riverfront. Found Property at the riverfront. Assist EMS several times. Numerous calls for careless and reckless driving vehicles coming into town on Highway 47. ARRESTS DO NOT IMPLY GUILT.

Expect traffic delays on Jefferson Street between 8th Street and 10th Street due to construction. Contractor will be installing new sanitary sewer lateral across Jefferson Street. This work will take place Monday, February 3, starting early in the morning. Two-way traffic will be maintained with narrow lanes and flaggers. Use caution in this area and be aware of workers and flaggers. Please utilize alternative routes if possible.

Shift Summary 1-31-2025 Check the well-being in the 1900 Block of Rabbit Trail Drive. Service of court papers in the 2200 Block of Windcrest Court. Assault in the 4700 Block of Southpoint Road. During the above assault a male subject was taken into custody for Minor in Possession of Intoxicants. Assist MSHP in the 300 Block of Jefferson Street. ARRESTS DO NOT IMPLY GUILT.

Day Shift 01/31/25 Assisted the fire department in the 600 block of E. 8th St. Assisted the fire department in the 400 block of Grand Ave. A fraud report was taken in the area of Creekside Place. A motor vehicle accident report was taken in the 100 block of W. Front St. A suspicious person was reported in the area of E. 3rd and Locust St. A parking violation was reported in the 100 block of W. Main St. Officers investigated a motor vehicle crash in the area of Hwy 47 and Hwy 100. During the investigation it was learned that the driver of one of the vehicles had an outstanding warrant. That driver was arrested for the outstanding warrant, traffic charges and DWI. Officers responded to the 300 block of Frank St. for an alarm sounding. Arrests do not imply guilt. All subjects arrested are innocent until proven guilty.

Great turnout for the second and final Parks & Recreation Master Plan Public Meeting/Open House. Planning Design Studio will present the final report to the City Council in April. Thank you for supporting the park system and the department!

Shift Summary - Nights 1/29/25 Threats were reported in the area of Sir Williams Ct. Check the well being was conducted in the 2800 block of Poolbrook Way. A private property motor vehicle crash occurred in the area of Washington Corners. A verbal domestic was reported in the 900 block of E. 5th St. Officers responded to an alarm sounding in the area of Phoenix Center Dr.

Day Shift Summary 01/30/2025 Parking violation in the 100 block of Oak Street. Vehicle was moved. Assisted WFD with a call on Village West Court. Possible transformer fire. While assisting a motorist, made contact with a subject who had an outstanding warrant. The subject was arrested.

The library's children area walls are receiving fresh coats of paint this week. The play area may not be available at times, due to the painting. However, the shelves are open for browsing, and story times will run as normal. Thank you for your patience.

Shift Summary Nights 1-28-2025 Check the well-being in the 1200 Block of E. 6th. Vehicle crash with injuries in the area of 6th and Henry. Trespassing in the 600 Block of E. 8th. Domestic assault report in the area of 8th and Franklin. Several business alarms.

Day Shift Summary 01/29/2025 Assisted EMS on Anniston Drive. Subject was left in care of EMS. A large yellow dog struck in the area of Highway 100 and Vernaci Drive. No owner information could be located. Non-injury traffic crash on Highway 100 at Pottery Road. Checked on a subject in the area of Washington Crossing who was unable to provide their name. We were able to make contact with a family member and they came to pick the subject up. They are suffering from dementia. Report of a subject lying in the parking lot on Bedford Center Drive. Contact was made with a homeless subject. They were fine and they were asked to move along. Minor injury traffic crash on Highway 100 at Vernaci Drive. Non-injury traffic crash on Highway 100 at Vernaci Drive.

Let there be light! The new lights in the new riverfront parking lot are now functional.
