Officers assisted with a stalled vehicle in the area of Hwy 100 and Hwy 47

Officers investigated a motor vehicle in the 600 block of Blue Jay Dr.
Officers attempted to locate a vehicle for another agency that was involved in a leaving the scene accident. The vehicle was not located in our venue.
Officer responded to the riverfront for a report of found property
Assisted the Washington Volunteer Fire Department in the area of W. 10th and Jefferson St.
Officers assisted with a stranded motorist in the area of International and Hwy 100.
A check the well being was conducted in the area of Hwy 47 and Hwy 100.

Night Shift Summary 12/13/2025
Checked a suspicious ID at business on Front Street. The ID was real.
Report of dogs barking on 3rd Parkway. Dogs were put away for the night.
Report a disturbance in the 700 block of Rainbow Drive. One of the subjects contacted had an outstanding warrant and was arrested.
ID turned in that was located on Charlotte's Way. Owner was contacted.
Alarm on Columbus Lane. Accidental by employee.
Peace disturbance reported on Southwinds Circle. Subjects causing the disturbance agreed to keep it down.

City offices, landfill and recycling center will be closed December 24–25 for the Christmas holiday.

Suspicious person asking for money in Washington Crossing. Subject was gone prior to our arrival.
Child custody questions were answered for a subject.

🍁 Leaf Collection Update
Our crews have officially wrapped up the final round of leaf pickup for the season! The second round began on December 1, and teams collected leaf piles on every street as they worked their way from east to west across town.
Still have leaves? You can:
• Bag them for your regular yard-waste pickup day, or
• Drop them off at our Recycling Center.

The City paused to honor Tom Holdmeier, a devoted public servant whose recent passing is deeply felt by all who knew him.
Tom began serving our community in 1999 on the Planning & Zoning Commission and became Chairman in 2003, guiding responsible growth with integrity and sound judgment.
He continued shaping our community through his work with the 353 Redevelopment Corporation from 2012–2023, later offering his expertise as an Advisory Member. Tom also served on the Washington Area Chamber of Commerce Board from 2008–2016, including as Chair, strengthening local partnerships and supporting long-term progress.
Across every role, Tom exemplified humility, fairness, dedication, and a genuine commitment to helping his community thrive.
The City honors and remembers Tom Holdmeier for his decades of leadership and service, and extends heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and all who mourn his loss.

Checked the area of Taco Bell for a report of subjects fighting. No one was located.
Homeless activity on Phoenix Center Drive. Subject was contacted and asked to move along.

A peace disturbance was reported in the area of the riverfront. Officers assisted another agency with an arrest in the area of Southpoint Road and Highway 100. A suspicious person was checked in the 300 block of Jefferson Street. Officers assisted another agency in the area of Highway 47 and Bieker Road. Officers met with subjects in the 700 block of Locust Street in reference to civil issues.
